MISSION
The goal is to help teachers how to help children with a mental and/or physical and/or behavior disability and/or
learning disability in the class. The report states, what helps THIS child with THIS teacher in THIS class at THIS moment.
We leave the complex diagnose behind us and narrow it down to what the child´s strengths are and which extra
measures it needs . This approach helps the teacher a lot, because the teacher is not facing a complex problem anymore
but a comprehensive list from things that work for this child. There is a lot of input of the child and the parents. The
measures can be evaluated and shared with the next year´s teachers, even in other schools.

HE SOLUTION THAT HAS BEEN DEVELOPED
We start by looking at the child with the International Classification of Functioning from the World Health Organisation.
We let experts describe very accurate what the strengths and the weaknesses this child has. Then we translate this to
comprehensive detailed measurements that the parents, the child, the teacher, the school and others will take.

ACTS ABOUT SIZE AND SCOPE
In 2010, we reached 310 pupils, now we reach about 500 pupils each year. We helped 2.200 pupils with our tool.
We got this tool implemented in 200 schools across Belgium.

UTLOOK
The Flemish goverment made our report obligatory before a school can reject a pupil and send it to a special school for
children with a disability. The school must prove what it has done already for this child.
This report is obligatory for the start of the new schoolyear in September 2015.
