ACTS ABOUT SIZE AND SCOPE

More than 20 stakeholders involved, among which 7 mainstream TVET institutes, 3 disability specific centers (to
avail disability expertise), 2 DPOs, 3 companies, 3 government bodies and 3 civil society partner organizations.

258 TVET staff was trained and 7 accessibility audits conducted

Currently more than 150 youth with disabilities enrolled in various mainstream TVET institutes in Kenya, Rwanda
and Ethiopia, and more than 300 youth with disabilities identified.
OUTLOOK
The program is unique in its action-learning approach and scope engaging so many mainstream organizations on
disability inclusion. The regional approach is very beneficial to stimulate learning. The programme design can easily be
used in other countries with some slight adaptations. The adaptive and learning component allows for required
contextualization.
