In 2015, the project stopped recruitment of elementary school applicants because of the exponential increase.
Instead, it started a new outreach program called "DO-IT Kids" in which all students with disabilities can register
them. The number of enrolment was 360.

UTLOOK
As this DO-IT Japan program has been developed based on the DO-IT program in the University of Washington and was
customized and extended to fit to the Japanese society and culture, the basic concept will be adopted to other
countries, which share the importance to secure the human rights of persons with disabilities. Now Korea and Malaysia
have replicated similar programs.
