VERALL GOAL
/
MISSION
The project contributes to the development of inclusive education facilities in eastern Styria. Based upon a multi
stakeholder approach, all relevant interest groups have been working to define guiding principles and action points to
enable inclusive education in this rural area. Furthermore, the current education system was included as well in order to
define necessary measures for inclusive education. Results will be shared with other regions and will help them in
reaching their specific goals. Regional expertise but also critical voices will be heard in order to develop and find a
practical solution. Chance B supports educational institutions in their efforts to enable inclusive education with their
expertise in non- scholar support systems and connections to the labor market. An advisory board will monitor the
project.
T
HE SOLUTION THAT HAS BEEN DEVELOPED
The main activities of the project complement each other in order to reach a broad base of knowledge. Supporting
networking activities, scientific evaluation by the university of Graz and contributions from experts are focussing on
three main activities.
1)
All educational facilities in Gleisdorf (an Austrian provincial town) work together in their inclusive education
activities
2)
Networking groups with all stakeholders in eastern Styria work towards concrete measures and solutions
3)
A scientific study by the University of Graz will conduct interviews with experts and do case studies resulting in
recommendations and procedures.
Active project management ensures that all different groups do not loose focus and work towards the common goal of
inclusive education.
