/
MISSION
I-FIT school is an education institution for endangered socially disadvantage youth, aged 15 to 25 who face problems to
integrate in the job market because of learning difficulties, social/family problems, delays in their development, mild
forms of disabilities or other forms of discrimination. Through the unique combination of academic elements as well as
job market related instruments and the systematic integration of activities in their social environment, it is possible to
strengthen the personal development of the students. Support in their job decisions as well as help to improve their
level of qualifications is a good preparation for the future integration in the job market. The important pillars of this
type of education are the cooperation between general, job related and personal development related elements as well
as a close cooperation with the companies. From day one on, students get practical training as well as academic
education. Moreover, coaching and integration support are available.
T
HE SOLUTION THAT HAS BEEN DEVELOPED
In order to integrate in the job market young adults have the possibility to gain experience through trial jobs. These
activities give them a realistic self-assessment of their capabilities. Additional qualifications and higher self-esteem
enables them to actively face the job market. The requirements to integrate in the job market are a sound education
and job related qualifications as well as “soft skills”. Therefore, we offer goal-orientated, small step support programs to
fulfil the requirements over time. In the I-FIT environment young adults find enough time, space and support to reach
the above mentioned targets.
