MISSION
The mission of the project is to create interactive textbooks for iPad for vocational subjects developed in cooperation
with a team of psychologists in order to include students with learning disabilities. The contents are represented in
multiple channels embracing different learning styles. The design has been deeply studied to offer an engaging learning
experience. The project highlights the latest discoveries in neuroscience developing custom-made tools to help students
with dyslexia.
Vocational schools face difficulty in accessing good quality and up-to-date textbooks for the specific subjects they teach.
On average, they have a very high rate of students with learning disabilities. Many of which are at a very high risk of
dropout rate. For example, one of the two schools assessed in this project recorded over 30% of students with certified
special educational needs.

HE SOLUTION THAT HAS BEEN DEVELOPED
The project has been developed in collaboration with 45 teachers and two vocational schools with 1100 students.
Centro Leonardo Education is collaborating with a team of psychologists, designers, developers and editorial staff who
cooperated with teachers to create high standard contents. The Centre worked on 82 iBook textbooks between the
period of November 2014 and July 2015.
