 During 2014/2015: 32 teachers as operators of Provincial Helpdesk for Autism of Vicenza; 95 students requested
support by the service of the Provincial Helpdesk for Autism of Vicenza
 Increase in 2009 by 1057% in demand and increase in 2010 by 100% demand by schools.
OUTLOOK
 The helpdesk is also collecting information about documentation, tools, best practices and makes them available for
the whole provincial territory; the service is also collecting and monitoring data related to the number of students
with autism in the schools in the network
 The Helpdesk is collaborating with parents associations and with other entities dealing with autism issues; it is a
service for parents to receive advice.
 The practice of peer teaching continues to grow according to the needs of schools, and may extend over the next
few years as a continuous dialogue to improve the quality of inclusion.
 An important fact is the collaboration aspect with the different services
 The teaching model was also adopted by the Ministry of Public Education, as an example to implement in Italy, by
special education schools or by other countries that have a similar inclusive educational system as in Italy.
