T
HE SOLUTION THAT HAS BEEN DEVELOPED
They have evolved an ecosystem of learning and earning appropriate with their acumen, making them contributors to
family and society. While they cannot recognize the sound of the alphabet, they still do accurate two window visual
data entry in English. Visual matching helps select options and achieve in multiple languages as do 150 youngsters
capture inflow of milk from farmers/self-help group women to Dinshaw Ice Cream Collection Centers in Nagpur.
This community does not have the social skills to work within mainstream companies, so AMBA collaborates with
special institutions-guiding them into becoming hubs for training and employment on stipend.
In India to date the solution for livelihood revolves around adults with higher intellectual disability who have the social
skills to do repetitive work in small scale, packaging Industries, Post Office and other similar vocational environments.
Many Special Institutions get them to finish products like soaps, candles, rugs, cards etc. to enable sustainability to the
Institution.
