ACTS ABOUT SIZE AND SCOPE
1.
To date and since the founding of the Al-Amal Association in 2011, 10 kindergartens + 6 primary schools are
regularly accompanied.
2.
31 children are taken in charge by the special centre of the association, and for those who attend ordinary services,
a safe accompaniment to schools/kindergartens is assured.
3.
Sixty parents are regularly mobilized by the association.
OUTLOOK
The work of the association with schools/kindergartens can be replicated by other associations both in Medenine and
other governorates involved in the promotion of the rights of persons/children with disabilities. Professionals in other
specialized associations can also become resource persons for regular services and support other types of disabilities.
The approach is also aimed at making parents active players in their children’s learning processes.
The association is planning to expand its centre so that it will able to accommodate more children and have an impact
on a greater number of families in the community of Medenine.
