expansion of the program, 600 new members will be added to the virtual program with a goal of reaching 1,800
people by the end of three years
The program was originally developed to provide assistance and support to those living within regions that are
recognized as within "the line of fire". The emergency zone during "Operation Protective Edge" was considered the
Southern region of the country. As a result of the line of fire expanding and previous times of emergency, the
program is being expanded to provide assistance and support to those living across the country.
safetyNet was developed to serve people with mental illness. With the expansion of the program, the technology,
content and type of support will be modified to accommodate people with various types of disabilities. Staff (people
with disabilities) will undergo training to aquire the necessary information, know-how and skills needed to serve the
population.
