MISSION
Micha Jerusalem provides the opportunity for hearing impaired and deaf children from all social and cultural
backgrounds to follow a complete educational curriculum, including full medical care, while being included in a
kindergarten with non-disable children.

HE SOLUTION THAT HAS BEEN DEVELOPED
“Harmonie” is the name of a kindergarten for non-disable children located in the main building of Micha Jerusalem – a
centre of support and overall care for hearing impaired and deaf children. Thanks to this kindergarten, hearing impaired
children receive all the special care they need and are integrated into a normal school structure with non-disable
children.

ACTS ABOUT SIZE AND SCOPE
1.
Every year, 30 to 50 deaf children study with non-disabled children.
2.
Every deaf child participating in this curriculum is integrated into a normal primary school thereafter.
3.
Non-disable children participating to this curriculum learn to accept special children.
OUTLOOK
This model could be adopted by other special centres, but it is important to create a high-level private kindergarten in
order to attract parent of non-disable children. Importantly, the revenue earned from the payment of fees by parents
allows this project to continue independently, without the need of donations.
