MISSION
The mission of the project is to partner with stakeholders and vulnerable unreached communities to co-create
pioneering solutions for an inclusive workplace.
The objectives are by 2020 to: To advocate about Ability in Disability to 1 million community members; to sensitize
1,000,000 company representatives; to train 15,000 persons with disability for different vocations and place them in
jobs; To be a one stop shop offering corporates customized solutions to build an inclusive workforce.

HE SOLUTION THAT HAS BEEN DEVELOPED
Project Parivarthan demonstrates that rural young men and women, between the ages of 18-27 years, with disabilities,
can be placed in quality jobs, by an innovative 45 days vocational skilling solution. Youth are speech and hearing
impaired, with low vision or locomotive disability. The curriculum has generic and industry specific modules. The generic
module includes English, life skills, soft skills, and computers. The specific modules vary depending on the aspirations of
the youth and availability of jobs. The vocational skilling is followed by on-the job training and then placements in
organised sector jobs.

The project has spread to 8 states in India. These are Andhra
Pradesh, Telangana, Gujarat, KarnatakaJharkhand, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and TamilNadu

Reached out to 100,000 rural households

Candidates skilled in 3 years: 6500 (40% are girls)

Set up 16 vocationally skilling centers in 8 states dedicated to youth with disability in 3 years

New sectors opened up for youth with disability hiring: Retail, hospitality, media and entertainment; automotive
manufacturing.

More than 150 companies hired persons with disability for the first time
