VERALL GOAL

/

MISSION

The project wants, on the one hand, to support children in their reading habits and, on the other hand, to contribute to

an education system where children with disabilities are not excluded and are taught together. This shall happen trough

the normalisation of disability and inclusion from an early age on.

T

HE SOLUTION THAT HAS BEEN DEVELOPED

In Spain, there is an existing lack of an inclusive education system and therefore children are billeted in specialized

centres according to their disability. Further, there is scarcely awareness and knowledge about disability as social reality

in general. That is the reason why the members have developed six freely available tales, in which the main characters

represent different disability groups. These tales are created as a digital version that is downloadable from a website;

they are fully accessible, favour group work, participation and debate and shall motivate children to read stories that

present attractive characters with disabilities that are shown as absolutely normal or even equipped with a special

capability. They also provide teachers with didactic materials to address disability at school.
