    Connecting health professionals and educators that work with people with disabilities, with developers from the world of hi-tech creates amazing opportunities.
    The Beit Issie Shapiro Technology Center has developed a series of apps: IssieApp”, suitable for use by people with and without disabilities/ All apps are developed to meet needs encountered in the field, with help from volunteers developers in the community.
    In the webinar, we introduce IssieApps (all free) and how to use them, and demonstrate creative ways in which they can be used to promote participation and independence.

    The corona virus, which broke out in Israel in February 2020, has had far-reaching consequences in all areas of life, and perhaps most of all on the health care system. The health professions therapists are forced to face a new reality and rely on the provision of professional services remotely, using technology and electronic means (telehealth).
    This research was conducted with the aim of learning about the views and experiences of using telehealth services from the perspective of the clients in Israel.

    The Coronavirus outbreak presents a major challenge to national, regional and local communities which are on the frontline in countering the disease. In the face of the COVID-19 virus support service providers are taking their own actions, to be able to continue to provide essential care & support services to those who need it most.
    In order to meet the social, educational or therapeutic needs of their users, service providers have adapted their support to provide services remotely, via online platforms.

    Noa Nitzan’s Presentation on the main stage at the BETT Conference held in London about the use and development of assistive technologies among students with disabilities. The presentation focused on implementation in the field, ideas for creative uses, working with the family, as well as our entrepreneurship and app development.
