MISSION
Irisbond supports people with disabilities and speech difficulties based on eye movement and machine vision
technology that enables computer control by looking. It is reliable , easy to use and competitive. Proper attention and
care required by people with disability often entails high costs, which many cannot afford. The product developed by
Irisbond can be considered to provide a "basic need. Irisbond saw a need to make the product accessible to as many
people as possible. This not only includes patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) but also other diseases that
limit the maximum mobility such as multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy or muscular dystrophy. Therefore, this project had
the following objectives: • Implementation of new business models based on social innovation through the application
of technology. • Offer a competitive and high added value for the stakeholders in the world of disability. • Entering the
world of special education and labour inclusion.
T
HE SOLUTION THAT HAS BEEN DEVELOPED
IRISBOND PRIMMA is a system to control the computer with eye movements . A simple and intuitive interface allows
users to access any computer application under Windows accurately through eye movement, allowing any type of
function. The system is easy to install and simple to use, maintaining levels of management of the mouse. Those who
are disabled and have slurred speech (as affected by ALS, multiple sclerosis, paralysis or brain damage), can work it
through their eyes, they can access the usual functions of a computer such as surfing the internet, writing texts, send a
email or WhatsApp, listen to music, develop messages that can be displayed directly on the screen, print them or listen
by synthesized or digitized voice, watch a movie, among other possibilities. Working together with psychologists and
speech therapists is vital for the inclusion of those affected during childhood in the educational system, and later, as an
adult foster their inclusion in the labor market.
