WINNING FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY’S PARTNERSHIP Beit Issie Shapiro was selected by Florida International University, America’s fourth largest university, to consult and pioneer solutions for Embrace, a university-wide initiative promoting health, wellness and overall functioning for adults with developmental disabilities. RAISING ISRAEL’S FLAG AT THE UN Beit Issie Shapiro is a driving force behind Israel’s esteemed standing in the field of disabilities at the UN and worldwide. At a recent UN event, hosted by Beit Issie Shapiro, Noa Furman, Israel’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN, thanked Beit Issie Shapiro saying: "Social entrepreneurs are the backbone of our society. Through their innovative and out of the box thinking they provide solutions that assist people in their day to day life...enabling us to break down barriers and bring equality and inclusion of persons with disabilities in our societies."
